What is Zeltiq Coolsculpting?
Zeltiq Coolsculpting is one of the newest forms of medical body sculpting. It was only approved by the FDA in later 2010, and it's quickly gaining popularity as the go-to non-invasive fat reduction procedure. It's great for the spot-reduction of fat on those who are at or nrear their ideal body weight and shape. It's not really intended for those who need significant fat reduction.
Zeltiq Coolsculpting is a fat freezing procedure that kills off fat cells while leaving the rest of the flesh intact. This might sound dangerous, but it is actually quite safe. You see, fat freezes at a temperature that is causes only slight discomfort to the surrounding flesh, nerves, and skin. When fat cells freeze they die. Again, this sounds worse than it is. Millions of cells die in your body every day, and your body disposes of these cells in a natural process. These dead fat cells will be removed in exactly the same way, and your body doesn't just instantly flush them, which might cause damage to your liver or kidney. It slowly removes them at a level that is safe for your body. This is why it may take several weeks to see results from this procedure.
Unlike invasive surgical procedures, Zeltiq side effects are minimal to non-existent. You will have no scarring because the procedure is all topical. Reported side effects include redness, bruising and swelling of the area treated which tends to subside in a few hours at most. Occasionally a patient might report tingling or numbness that can last a few weeks. This will also subside entirely. No long-term side effects have been reported.
Zeltiq Coolsculpting is an easy, comfortable and non-invasive alternative to liposuction or other fat removal procedures. As of today, it is one of the safest, and causes the least discomfort to patients. You can generally walk right out of the doctors office and continue with your day without any issue after receiving this procedure.
