Is The HCG Diet Legit?

If you've been paying any attention to the weight loss community you will know that the HCG diet is all the rage these days. Wether it really does work or if it just popped up one day no one can really know why it has become so popular. Diets like these always come and go, each one faster then the next. Here is my little mini review of the HCG Diet.

After looking at the website for this diet it seems that HCG is a hormone that is produced during pregnancy that helps women lose weight when they take it. It causes them to lose the will to eat and as a result put less calories into their body. The website also reccomends going on a 500 calorie diet as well as taking HCG. It claims that you can lose up to 1-2 pounds a day and quite honestly I wouldn't be suprised because at that rate you are pretty much starving yourself.

The average person most likely eats around 1500 calories a day and probably more in most parts of the world. You will lose weight with any kind of diet fad if you only consume 500 calories a day and you will also be destroying your body in the process. If you want to diet and lose weight, look good and be healthy, start eating right and go on a home fitness program. It may sound silly but those tapes that show you how to do all those funky kinds of exercises really do the job, and they do it well. Not to mention the fact that they are perfectly healthy and will change your lifestyle immediatly.

If your still wondering if the HCg diet really works, the answer is yes, of course it does but are you willing to sacrifice your health and body just to shed a few pounds because you are too lazy to do it the right way?
