Four Reasons Why You Should Spread Your Calories
Did you know that you could actually eat the same amount of food as you did the week before and do this one thing to lose weight? The one thing that I am referring to is a redistribution of calories. When your body takes on a huge amount of calories all at once its inclined to store more fat. Below I've listed four reason why you should spread your calories if you get rid of fat.
1. When you eat frequently you give your metabolism a boost - When you skip meals you actually do your body a great disservice. When you eat frequently you pump your metabolism up to maximum speed and this helps to burn calories long after your done eating.
2. Daytime calories boost the metabolism more than nighttime calories - Your metabolism has its own natural rhythm. It decrease the closer it gets to bedtime. This means that the food that you consume late evening doesn't burn calories like it does earlier in the day. Your body is essentially preparing to slow down to a dull roar for the night.
3. Eating makes you feel revved up during the day but not during the night - Do most people finish dinner and say "Hey I think I'll go workout for an hour?" Most people I know feel pretty laid back after dinner. One of the main reasons is the body is working hard to digest that big plate load of food they've just consumed. Another is the body is winding down for rest.
4. Consuming the majority of your calories in one meal can create an insulate spike, which causes the body to store fat - If you consume large amounts of calories, especially carbohydrates this causes your pancreas to pump out more insulin. What this does is causes your body to store a lot of those calories as fat. If you spread the calories out over frequent meals your insulin level will remain steady and you will decrease your belly fat.
