Why Buy Organic Shampoo?
With so many different brands on sale today, choosing a low cost organic shampoo is much easier than it once was. But why choose this type of hair care product over a regular shampoo? Regular Shampoo
What would you think if you heard that conventional shampoos may contain carcinogens? This has not been proved to be the case. However there have recently been some worrying developments that are causing people to talk about a potential link. For instance, a group of chemicals that are typically found in shampoo, parabens, have also been discovered in minute doses in breast cancer tumors. It is unknown whether parabens play a role in its development though. However, the fact that they are present at all, is a potential cause for concern.
We all know how uncomfortable it is when we get shampoo into our eye. The stinging sensation is caused by the irritant sodium laureth sulfate. The reason it is in the shampoo in the first place is as a foaming agent. It can also be found in toothpaste and soap.
Organic Shampoo
This type of beauty product does not contain the above type of chemicals. Instead of being full of synthetic compounds, there are many more natural ingredients. Often they have organic aloe and/or other organic plant extracts. Organic hair care products are typically not tested on animals and only contain vegetarian ingredients.
So overall we can see that the organic version is a milder product containing less of the harsh ingredients found in regular shampoo. The proof that regular shampoo is bad for us is lacking. However, basing our decisions on our own feelings, many people choose to go the organic route for their own health.
