Pamper Your Feet With A DIY Pedicure!

Every girl loves a pampering session right? But going to the salon every day of the week isn't always practical or affordable. So why not stay at home and enjoy a luxurious night in by trying out this fun, free, do it yourself pedicure? Here's how.

What tools will you need?

A pumice:
Its a grey stone basically, you can get one from most chemists or beauty product stores.

Epsom salt:
Available from most good supermarkets or toiletry stores.

Moisturizer
Nail file
Cuticle oil
Cuticle stick
Nail polish

What's the plan?

Before we start, we want our feet to be nice and soft and relaxed, so fill up a large bowl with warm water and throw in the Epsom salt and soak your feet in it for at least 5 minutes... You will probably want longer though. Chill out and relax whilst your feet soften up.

Step 2:

Use the pumice to exfoliate and remove any hard or dead skin. Just rub gently, don't rub too hard or you will make your feet sore. Pat your feet dry with a towel.

Step 3:

Now it's time to moisturize. This is my favourite part. You know how to use moisturizer already; rub it in well, use pressure at the same time to massage your feet. Whilst you're at it, push back your cuticles with the cuticle stick - again gently.

Step 4:

Now it's time to trim your toe nails - don't cut them too short, leave them neat and slightly rounded, then use the nail file to get them looking good enough to show off. Polish off ready to apply your nail polish.

Step 5:

Now it's time to paint your nails! Before that though, here's a top tip; Use nail varnish remover to clean each nail and allow to dry before applying your favorite nail polish - this will help the polish to stick better and last longer. Use two coats for best results and give plenty of time to dry thoroughly, you don't want to spoil the finish now.

Go out and show off!

That's it then. I would suggest giving it at least 40 minutes or so before you put on your favorite sandals and head out on the town to show off your freshly pampered feet!
